# About Own Your GEO

I'm Joseph. I built Own Your GEO because AI started deciding which contractors get the call, and the options I found didn't fit a trade business.

## Why I built it

After we sold my fence company to private equity, I wanted the team to keep getting high-quality leads no matter what. I could see homeowners starting to ask ChatGPT who to hire, so I went looking for help. The enterprise tools quoted me $18,000 for a year of tracking, and agencies wanted a monthly retainer forever.

So I built my own system, mostly late at night after the baby was down. It tracks the questions homeowners ask AI, shows who AI recommends instead of you, shows which websites it trusts, and tells you what to fix next. It made the company #1 in AI visibility in its city.

## How I work

- **You own it.** The system runs on your accounts. No retainer to me.
- **Construction only.** Roofers, remodelers, HVAC, plumbers, fence companies, landscapers and other trades.
- **Hands-on, then handed off.** We fix things together for 30 days, then you run it, and I'm a message away.
- **Honest numbers.** I show you the fair, like-for-like view of your results, not just the flattering one.
